Tapachula, Chiapas; December 02, 2021.- Migrants of countless nationalities who are in the Olympic Stadium, located in the south of this city, and those who are in its surroundings, denounced that the National Institute of Migration (INM) has left them abandoned and without attending them.
Ronald is an Haitian migrant who is camping in these sports facilities set up as a shelter for the undocumented, as well as thousands more foreigners who have brought their few belongings while waiting to leave Tapachula.
«We were waiting for the appointments or the Migration lists, in the midst of the strong sun and trash, but the INM does not want to help us. The only thing we are asking for is to be attended and we beg for being moved», he said in an interview for the rotary EL ORBE.
According to his version, many of them arrived at 5 am to make a long line hoping to being served by the federal government. Unfortunately, this Thursday only two passenger buses arrived, closed and left with less than a hundred foreigners.
The federal administration has promised to give them buses to move them to 10 states in the country, where they could continue their immigration processes.
“We do not want marches, blockades, or violence, either walk in a caravan. The only thing we are looking for is that they attend us so that we can leave Tapachula ”, he added.
In addition, they asked the government to instruct the INM to have a place where they can enlist them so that they can be moved in order.
He considered that, if the authorities are not going to coordinate them every day, it would be the same caos, because their compatriots do not respect. That is why he asked that elements of the National Guard (GN) need to be sent to put order and the movings could be carried out in an organized way. EL ORBE /
