Tapachula, Chiapas; December 7, 2021.- This Tuesday, thousands of migrants made a gigantic line of several kilometers in the southern bypass of the town in order to board about twenty available buses. After many months staying stranded, their dream about leaving the city, finally is coming true.
It is estimated that, during the day and intermittently, a total of 50 buses left and are going to 10 different states, where the federal government’s commitment is that there they will be able to continue with their immigration procedures and even manage their visas. for humanitarian reasons.
In that way, this Monday, the undocumented began to arrive at the “Los Palacios” neighborhood, in the vicinity of the municipality, to set aside their places in line and wait for the authorities to send them the buses.
With entire families and suitcases, migrants have had to accepted discipline, order and organization to wait their turn.
The Caribbeans had to leave the Tapachula Olympic Stadium for moving to the side of the highways that lead to Central America, so they will wait for one of the 70 buses which have started to leave in the last hours from various points in the city.
“We are helping Migration to line up well so that no one could not fight for a seat. We hold a meeting so that all things must go well, because we are looking for getting a job and our documents to survive here in Mexico, ”explained André, a Haitian migrant.
These foreigners had been camping at the Stadium for three weeks waiting to leave, but they all want to leave at the same time and that has made complicated the work of the authorities.
In the last 72 hours, the authorities organised the movings of migrants in buses to many states in the country, as a measure of support for foreigners who have been stranded in Tapachula for several months.

Thousands of migrants are waiting in the Olympic Stadium for the federal authorities to send them buses to be moved to the northern entities of the country, after the offer made by the Mexican government.
However, the disorder in that space has caused the authorities to suspend the movings, since the migrants are not organized and do not want to move to other points where they could be attended to.
There are dozens of metal fences that have served as a safeguard for children and pregnant women who are waiting for the arrival of official vehicles which take them to other entities in the country.
Some foreigners said that even the agents of the National Institute of Migration (INM) are afraid of reaching the sports facilities, because the is a huge disorder and there have been clashes between migrants.
He added that many of the migrants think they are going to reach the northern border and that is why they consider the lost of their places if they do not aboard first.
Also, that INM have sent buses in the mornings to continue taking people every day, but there are those who do not respect the lines to give priority to children and women.
In that place, located to the south of the city, there are also many sick people, especially children and women who suffer from heat stroke, diarrhea, flu, among others. EL ORBE /
